Missouri State University Settles Lawsuit Over Free Expression

Missouri State University settled a lawsuit with former student Emily Booker over her claim that the university "engaged in unlawful retaliation against Ms. Booker's protected expression."  Booker charged that her professor required all students in her class to sign a statement to the state legislature supporting gay adoptions, and that when she refused out of closely held religious beliefs, her professor retaliated by filing a trumped-up grievance charge against her.
